Last week Postrio, Wolfgang Puck's Downtown New American, served its last night of dinner service. But this isn't the end of Puck's pizza palace. The restaurant's 45-seat bar/cafe continues to serve breakfast as well as an à la carte menu continuously from 11:30 AM–11 PM daily, with signature items from pizzas to grilled salmon still available. And the space is still available for private events (415-776-7825).
Meanwhile, the restaurant's home, the Prescott Hotel, is planning on a major renovation this winter – at which point Postrio will actually close. When the hotel reopens though, expect a new concept in the restaurant space, once again under the guiding hand of the inimitable Puck.
