From Wednesday through Sunday, June 24–28, the fifth annual Pinot Days tipples through town. Offering a chance for grape lovers to taste, sip and talk shop, the event features 400 Pinot producers from around the globe pouring their wares. Some of the events planned include a splashy sit-down wine dinner at Pres a Vi (June 24; 6–10 PM, $150 per person); a laid-back family-style meal happening during the same time at Ana Mandara (June 24; 6–10 PM, $80 per person); and a blind tasting of the most coveted 1997 vintages from a variety of AVAs (1–3 PM, June 27; The Fleet Room, Fort Mason Center; $80 per person). The whole shebang culminates in the "Grand Festival Public Tasting" at Fort Mason Center (1–5 PM, June 28; $50 per person).
