After much delay, the long-awaited Upper Fillmore location of the Charles Phan family’s casual Vietnamese venue Out the Door is slated to open the last weekend of September. According to Angkana Phan, the storefront will aim to strike a neighborhood vibe and, in addition to offering the usual suspects found on the Westfield and Ferry Plaza menus, will serve both Vietnamese- and American-style breakfasts (think everything from rice and noodles to bacon ‘n’ eggs). Architect/designer Olle Lundberg is finalizing a wooden wall design element that will serve as the room’s focal point (2226 Bush St.).
