On April 24th, Dogfish Head Alehouse is matching its popular microbrews with five courses of New England–style fare such as clam chowder, baked stuffed lobster and scrod at a beer dinner at its Gaithersburg location (7–9 PM; $65 per person; 301-963-4847).
The alehouse also plans to pair its beer with the regional fare of the Southwest on July 2nd and the Northwest on September 11th.
On May 5th, spend a day in Alsace at L’Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls, VA, where chef-owner Jacques Haeringer and wine expert Bobby Katcher will host a three-course lunch and cooking demonstration, accented by fine Alsace vintages; weather permitting there will be a Cremant d'Alsace reception on the pastoral terrace.
