Oyamel is hosting a special dinner on June 25th.
June 25: Mexico, as interpreted by the cocineros (cooks) of NYC’s Café Frida, Philadelphia’s Tequilas and DC’s Oyamel – the host – will be plated at this six-course dinner that kicks off with a ceviche from each restaurant. Unusual tequila cocktail pairings for each course will feature Latin ingredients like jacama, guanabana and dried peppers (5:30 PM; $75 per person; 202-628-1005).
June 29: While Roberto Donna’s DC showcase, Laboratorio, remains shuttered during building renovations, he’s hosting a scaled-down version of his convivial, seasonal tasting dinners at his Crystal City trattoria, Bebo, for the relative bargain price of $65 for six courses, with wine pairings for an additional $35 (8:30 PM; 703-412-5076).
