French-Caribbean food and drink will be served in the glassed-in sidewalk terrace – as well as in the suavely redesigned dining rooms and bar/lounge – when Café Tropé (which was going to be called Onje) opens shortly in the DuPont Circle area space that most recently housed 21 P; sipping an island cocktail and grazing on sharing-sized "small plates" of jerk chicken or curry will offer a virtual escape from the DC winter to warmer climes (2100 P St. NW, 202-223-9335).
