The Source will celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 7th by offering a special tasting menu for dinner that has an element of good fortune associated with each dish. In the first course, lobster-and-shrimp spring rolls in the shape of gold bars symbolize wealth. The vegetable stir fry in the second course represents the blessings of longevity, riches, peace, wisdom and virtue. The red-colored desserts (red-bean sherbet and chocolate velvet cake) are to ensure joy and happiness (5:30–10 PM; $100 per person; $175 per person with wine pairings; 202- 637-6100).
