Savor Lots of Beer This Weekend

Imagine a hophead heaven filled with beverages from 48 craft breweries with inventive food pairings. That's what will be happening on Friday and Saturday at Savor: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience in the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. This two-day festival from the Brewers Association will also feature seminars like “He Said Beer, She Said Wine: A Debate on Food Pairing” and legendary brewers to meet like Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. Tickets are no longer available online, but can be purchased at various breweries; see the list here (May 16, 6:30–10 PM; May 17, 12:30–4 PM and 6:30–10 PM; each session is $85 per person and includes samples; 1301 Constitution Ave. NW; www.savorcraftbeer.com).

Satellite beer events will also take place around town; for example, from May 12th–16th, Georgetown's Pizzeria Paradiso will be tapping a special keg of beer each night as well as offering any pizza (with two toppings) and a featured beer for $16 (202-337-1245).
