Stunning modern rusticity defines Redwood, the latest wine-centric New American from Eli Hengst and Jared Rager (Sonoma Restaurant & Wine Bar), aiming to open next week on chic, pedestrian-traffic-only Bethesda Row. Outfitted with reclaimed redwood and stone detailing, plus an elevated dining bar, a fireplace and open-to-the-street picture windows, the restaurant will focus on locally sourced ingredients cooked on a wood-fired grill. Expect a wine list comprised of New World/West Coast sustainable vintages. P.S.
