Its been a tough week for lovers of French food, as the highly rated Gerard Pangaud Bistro (fka Gerard's Place) has permanently closed. Co-owner Michelle Panguad has confirmed that a deal is underway for new owners to open an as-yet-undisclosed restaurant in its Downtown space. Meanwhile, over in Rockville, the popular petite L'oustalet has also closed its doors. UPDATE: Montsouris, a French bistro near Dupont Circle, has closed too.
Indian food fans fared no better, as Curry Club in Glover Park announced that after four years it is no more.
