After a period of being take-out only, General Store and Post Office Tavern, Gillian Clark’s casual American in Silver Spring’s Forest Glen neighborhood, is now serving on-site meals featuring the chef's acclaimed fried chicken, casseroles, tacos and weekday breakfast fare; its Americana-themed rooms are decorated with crockery and vintage produce-crate labels, and seating options include salvaged-wood tables and booths, as well as homey porches and patios for alfresco dining; N.B. a brick-walled pub with a late-night pizza menu will open soon.
