Sushi Taro, the highly rated Dupont Circle Japanese, has reopened after a major makeover, offering a serene and sophisticated new look as well as a refined menu of traditional cuisine. Open for dinner, with lunch coming soon, Taro now serves three different kaiseki options – one featuring small cooked dishes, another exploring sushi as it was served in "Old Tokyo" and a third focused on sashimi ($65–$75) – plus an à la carte menu. Seating includes widely spaced tables overlooking the street scene, handsome wood-lined booths and an intimate six-seat sushi bar (202-462-8999).
