On Saturday, April 4, the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade will march down Pennsylvania Avenue NW starting at 10 AM, culminating in the spectacular Sakura Matsuri street festival. Six square blocks in Downtown will offer food from Asia Nine, Hama Sushi and other Asian spots, as well as beer gardens, sake tastings, sumo wrestlers, J-pop music, anime exhibits, a chance to meet the man credited with inventing Sudoku, a children’s corner and a Ginza-style shopping arcade (parade, 10 AM; festival, 11 AM–6 PM; admission is free, but food and drink costs extra; see more info).
