Jean-Georges Vongerichten
Global star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is bringing J&G Steakhouse, the beefy brand he pioneered in Scottsdale, AZ, to the former Hotel Washington site, which is being transformed into a modish W Hotel. Slated to open July 8, the dining room will take advantage of the space's high ceilings, arched windows and sweeping views of the White House lawns and Washington Monument, while the menu will showcase dry-aged cuts accessorized by a choice of 10 sauces and 10 styles of potatoes. A chic wine bar will exude cozy tavern vibes (515 15th St. NW).
