Ellen Gray (Equinox), Ris Lacoste (upcoming “ris”), Jamie Leeds (CommonWealth and Hank’s Oyster Bar) and several dozen more local female chefs, bartenders and restaurant professionals will be hosting a “Sirens for the Seals” happy hour on Tuesday, July 21, at Policy. Starting at 5:30 PM, the event supports efforts to end Canada's commercial seal hunts. Top mixologists will be pouring cocktails, there will be free tidbits to nibble on and a DJ will rev up the atmosphere. Admission is free, though a portion of the bar proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of the United States.
