On August 11, Columbia Heights wine buffs can finally toast the long-awaited debut of Room 11. The rustic tasting room will offer an eclectic mix of international vinos chosen for value ($6–$12 per glass), which can be enjoyed at the zinc bar, at the curved banquette by the bay window or outside on the patio. Cheese, charcuterie, market salads, pressed sandwiches and Spanish-influenced bocadillos (mouthfuls) will sate appetites. Later this fall, co-owner Dan Searing will reprise the Punch Club soirees that filled his Warehouse Theater with hip sippers (3234 11 St. NW; 202-332-3234).
