Milano high styling will provide the backdrop for polished Italian rusticity on the plate at restaurateur Ashok Bajaj’s Bibiana, due early-to-mid September. In the kitchen, chef Nicholas Stefanelli (ex Maestro and Laboratorio del Galileo) will be crafting the likes of spaghetti with house-cured guanciale, red onion and hot pepper, plus whole fish and porchetta roasted in a wood-fired pizza oven. There will also be an array of small plates, plus some 440 bottles of vino. The big-windowed Downtown space, elegantly appointed with dark wood, art glass and leather, features iconic photos of Italy and floor-to-ceiling steel beads curtaining off a semi-private dining area for 10 (1100 New York Ave. NW; 202-216-9550).
