A galaxy of food-world stars will shine at Capitol Food Fight 2009, the annual blockbuster fundraiser for DC Central Kitchen, whose efforts feed and create opportunities for homeless and hungry people. Held on November 11, the event features a cook-off featuring current Top Chef contestants Brian Voltaggio (Volt) and Mike Isabella (Zaytinya), along with Michael Mina (Bourbon Steak), Tracy O’Grady (Willow) and defending champion Barton Seaver (Blue Ridge). The results will be judged (and joked about) by luminaries José Andrés, Anthony Bourdain, Eric Ripert and Carla Hall. Meanwhile more than 50 top restaurants will serve signature dishes, and wine, beer and spirits will flow freely (6 PM; $175 per person; for tickets and more information go to here; Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW).
