The Wreck Room, Staten Island, New York.

This was my worst bar experience by far...Everyone whom i was with could've told you the same. It doesn't even look welcoming when you walk in, it was pretty worn down and messy. The drinks were a little pricey. There was no one sitting at the bar, but still no room to sit from an unattented bar...Tips, empty drinks, & spills were still there...The bartender wasn't even behind the bar when we walked in, and didnt show up for a good 5-10 minutes. A friend of mine had asked for a kamikaze (you can have kamikazes in either martini glasses or rocks glasses) but he wanted it in a rocks glass. As a bartender, anytime anyone's asked me for a kamikaze, i would ASK them, "Martini glass or Rocks glass?". When he had asked for a rocks glass instead of a martini glass, it took her almost 10 mins to get back to him, while she was having casual conversation with other men at the bar. I pointed out a COUPLE things wrong with the bartender's performance. I barely consume alcohol on the job, if i even do at all...when im at work, its about gettin my job done, not about filling MY drink up more than my customers drinks. I was there for about a half hour-45 minutes, and in that time span, i must've seen her refill her drink with some...No, ALOT of bacardi silver, at LEAST 3 times. In between this whole little Kamikaze confusion, she was opening up her cleavage area to let 3 men throw ice down her shirt. Mind you, this is while a customer is waiting for his drink. Not even 2 minutes later, she had asked the same man who threw ice down her shirt, "Wait, What's your name again??". Another 2 friends of mine were searching the online jukebox for music to play, because there was no music playing in there at all. They didnt find anything of interest, so they had walked away to go play pool. The bartender comes storming out from behind the bar, screaming across the place, "What did you want played!? What kind of music do you listen to!? Did you wanna play anything!? HUH!!?"...Very ignorant. Seeing this kind of performance made me want to IMMEDIATELY write up a review for that place, a bad one. There are SO many other wonderful, enjoyable bars on Staten Island...i highly DO NOT reccomend "The Wreck Room" (located on the corner of Davis and henderson).

I am sorry that you did not have a good night. I have been to The Wreck Room and I must disagree with you. It is a neighborhood bar so I dont know what you were expecting. Everytime I go there I must say I have a good time. They have four dart boards and two pool tables along with a juke box that has every song possible. As far as your friends not being able to find a song I dont know how that is possible since you can download them. I would like to know what night you went and had this happen to you. I am in there every now and then and the owners are good people. I am sure that if they were told about this type of service and behavior they would not tolerate it. I would hate to see this bar get bad reviews because of one person that can easily be replaced.

seems like a little bit of the green-eyed monster has gotten to you brit---if your're a bartender like you imply--you never flirted with customers?I've been to the wreck room on occation and have never seen the bar messy or the conditions you alledge. As for your friends not finding a song in the jukebox---they could have downloaded any song from the internet or maybe a dollar was too much for them.As for more enjoyable bars then the wreck room---why don't you tell us where you work so we can visit you and watch a real master bartender in action!Your bitterness seems a bit overdone--perhaps it just wasn't a good time of the month for you.
