Zagat Survey Discussions

I've been a member for many years. I heavily rely on your reviews to make my dining choices. Last week I needed a quick recommendation for a Steak House in Chicago. I looked at Zagat and chose The Chop House given your high marks. It was not up to the marks you awarded. I then went to other online rating sites (google.com, tripadvisor, yelp) to post my comments and noticed that there were a large number of negative ratings for The Chop House. If I had referred to those sites, I wouldn't have chosen that restaurant. How often are your ratings updated? Why aren't user reviews used in the scoring? If I want up-to-date feedback on a restaurant am I better off using another source?

I cannot comment on the Chop House in Chicago but rather use this topic to express my surprise at the fact that there are no Zagat rated retaurants in Quebec City. This city depends on tourism, its largest single source of income and in a city that celebrated it's 400th anniversary last year has it's share of good restaurants. 

My wife and I spent three nights there recently and were amazed at the variety and selection of dining establishments. French cooking predominates to no surprize but we had a Belgium meal that was delicious and saw many Italian as well as Japanese and Chinese plus at least one German establishment.

How can one give comments or post restaurants that are not otherwise listed?
