Chef Brian MacMenamin has brought his talents to Post Road Ale House, a new restaurant serving modern American Tavern fare. MacMenamin had previously operated MacMenamin's Grill & Chef Works. The Ale House is located at: 11-13 Huguenot St., New Rochelle (914-633-4610).
During recent tastings here we enjoyed such signature dishes as: New England Clam Chowder; Maryland Crab Cake with Mediterranean tossed greens and remoulade sauce; Butternut Squash Ravioli with seared sea scallops, lobster and browned sage butter; BBQ Roasted Loin of Pork & Ribs with sweet mashed; and Cedar Plank Roasted Wild Scottish Salmon with tarragon beurre blanc. For dessert you must try the Chocolate Bread Pudding with creme Anglaise, or the Martini of Tiramisu...
Salads are prepared tableside from a rolling cart, and there is a daily raw bar too.
At this time, the restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
