After a successful 9 year run the owners of Stoneleigh Creek in Armonk, formerly of Croton Falls, decided it was time to go casual and go back to their roots...and that they surely did. They have evolved into Armonk Lobster House, 1 Kent St., Armonk, N.Y. If you like traveling to Maine or Cape Cod and Montauk you will enjoy this spot. My dining companion and I enjoyed our first meal there this past week: Fried Oysters, Tuna Tatake, sort of an Asian take on tartare, and one of the house specialties: Shellfish Pot, loaded with crab, clams, mussels and shrimp in a lobster broth with fennel and carrots that we could not stop scooping up...We were addicted! For dessert I must recommend the house Bread Pudding. Nice round of wines as well. It's nice to have another good casual fish house in Westchester...(Forgot to mention: good lobster rolls too!).
