    New Years Eve in Paris

My husband and I are taking our two granddaughters to Paris the week after Christmas, they are 18 and 13. We were in Paris for New Years Eve with friends in 2004. On that trip we had dinner at Violon D'Ingres and then walked to the Eiffel Tower at midnight. We checked the dinner river cruises but the price is 300E per person and really don't want to spend that much money. Suggestions anyone? Thanks, pmcgsan

    Patricia,

Jules Verne, the restaurant on the Eiffel Tower's second level, has reopened under the supervision of Alain Ducasse. It may be too late at this point in time, however I would recommend contacting the restaurant to check availability and cost.

You can always eat late at a creperie and then watch the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower! That's much cheaper :)
