A “bucket-list requirement for any serious drinker”, this “absolutely first-class” barroom in the St. Regis Hotel reeks of “gravitas” thanks to a “magical” Maxfield Parrish mural and staffers well versed in “old-world panache”; sure, the “classic” cocktails come at “prices only a king could afford” and seats are often “impossible to score”, but ultimately it’s one of the most “civilized” places in town; P.S. for best results, “dress up.”
