Perhaps we got a bad night, but our food was poorly executed. Cacio en pepe is pretty much the barometer by which to judge an Italian restaurant, and overcooked noodles arrived in a pool of broken butter. Other entrees showed a similar lack of care and attention to detail. Doesn't stack up to Riccardo Trattoria, or even Mia Francesca. Your dining dollars are best spent elsewhere.
Arrived early, host opened up for us. Decor is simple and elegantly suitable. Simple menu, 4 appe, pasta, entree. The pasta bolognese was wonderful, as were the potabellos, pears on salad perfect. Just when I thought short ribs were becoming overused I taste theirs, ahhhh. Pork shank and lamb ragu very good, gnocchi ok. Popped into the kitchen, tiny. Everything made to order. The only disappointment were the desserts. This is a real find.
Romantic & intimate. If you blink you'll miss it, but you will be in heaven when you find it.
Despite all new wait staff and a slightly different vibe, this remains one of our favorite ""hidden treasures."
Fabulous.
