Some dishes were amazing, some were decent. Service was top notch.
Somewhat clubby decor but it's chic, comfortable, not noisy. Service was great at first but tailed off at the end. Wine list great but expensive. We tried so much, the pineapple/tuna/salmon maki, the lobster shooters, I had a duck entree, the asparagus and grits sides, the cheeses and chocolate sticks and stones dessert, everything was amazing. My favorite meal in Dallas to date. Not cheap - better for a business dinner where the boss is paying.
The food was very underwhelming. I do like spicy food, but they literally put chile pepper in everything. The sushi was decent. Nice atmosphere though. Impeccable service.
The menu boasts numerous genres which allows you to create any type of meal you desire. Abacus would be a good option for small groups who are open to sharing because you will have a tough time deciding. Definitely try the lobster shooters and the rack of lamb. The wine list is rather expensive...I mean extensive. Well, it's both. Many good options but you will pay 3x retail or more in many instances. On a budget? Go Joel Gott 815 cabernet ($50)
First off, amazing service! I have been to high end, Michelin Starred, establishments all over the world, and the service here matches many of those. The food was excellent. I enjoyed the buffalo chowder as an appetizer and the ostrich steak as a main course. The kitchen worked with me on a small substitution and gave me no problems about it. Technique and flavors were excellent, while the atmosphere was enjoyable. Strong recommend.
