Don't expect white linen table cloths here, do expect a funky, somewhat European atmosphere. More importantly enjoy Adolfo's cuisine.
Everything as described above
Adolfo's is now one of my favorite restaurants. The Renee sauce on my Puppydrum (sp?) was one of the most delicious seafood preparations I've ever eaten! Everyone in our part of eleven loved the food. The Ocean sauce also got raves. We thought the crab & corn canneloni was delicious, too. The staff was also quite charming and gracious. This is the best meal I've had at these prices! I'll go there ever time I'm in New Orlleans. Worth the wait!
Adolfo's Drive Thru
Hurry up and wait, hurry up and order, hurry up and eat, hurry up and leave. That is their credo. We tried the restaurant one more time and will never go back. New Orleanians go out to 'dine' but never with pushy, rude, brash waitstaff..even in a 5 star. Word spreads fast. No wonder Adolfo's is 90% TOURISTS and 10% LOCALS. That is how they get away with the attitudes.
FYI-No relation to chef Adolfo Garcia's restaurants
Hidden gem, good food and fun especially after a having a few at the Spotted Cat...go late it's even more interesting cause the staff is definitely wired by then and same for your neighbors at the next table. Fun place... two, teensy tiny rooms at the top of rickety stairs, great Nawlins atmosphere and nice selection of wines too.
