This family-owned Flatiron "haunt" is a "local gem" thanks to its "warm service" and "dependable", "value-for-the-money" Med-Italian fare (regulars insist it's "all about the pasta"); perhaps the interior could use a "pick-me-up", but the "lovely" back garden is fine as is.
