Delicious with a great spread of choices. But with the decor and "B" rating from the NYC health department, you'd only want to bring the already initiated.
Great food, atmosphere friendly but just functional/spartan. The lentil soups (both red & yellow) are fantastic! The mujadara (lentils, rice etc.) and foul mudammas (fava beans, chickpeas, etc.) also very food. Caferia-style, servers are welcoming.
The best falafels in New York City, perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauce that comes with the falafels is amazing, adding a creaminess to the dish. Try the Namora ($1.75) for dessert. A true "local" find.
Cafeteria style service with excellent food. The falafel is top notch.
Stumbled across this place by accident but was very well pleased. The grape leaves were quite good, the red lentil soup was excellent as was the meat kibbeh. My wife's falafel sandwich was great too. Many local paper recommendations including, Daily News, NY Times, Village Voice as well as Gourmet Magazine. Give it a try!
