Trying to be a Philly cheese steak knockoff and not really living up to the standard. Still tasty - but reminds me of the SNL heart attack group of sports fans.

Even though it's gone full steam ahead corporate, the beef is still delicious. The highlight though is the fresh cut fries. Get the beef dry with hot and sweet peppers-a true Chicago tradition. Why did they close the Evanston store?

Great Italian Beef & Sausage combos. XTRA for peppers. Good fries, but no ketchup? Too bad; but why not, it's not a Chicago hot dog? After you go here in summer, go across the street for some great Italian ice. A fantastic summer combination!

Excellent (and award-winning) italian Beef & Sausage. No tables (except outside), but a counter to lean on, while trying not to drip on your clothes! Do not confuse this original location with the imitations that are the franchises... this location (and the one on Ontario) have it right, while the franchise spots now scattered around Chicagoland only serve an adequate sandwich.
