This is the best Spanish in Chicago, way better than Mercat, and much more accessble by car. The food is tasty and ambitious, the service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is upscale neighborhood Mexican. Be sure to tell the waitress if you don't want hot (i.e, spicey). They now have a liquor license, but the wine list is meager (and cheap), way below the quality of the food. The charge if you bring your own is minimal ($7).
What we all have been waiting in our neighborhood.
