What appears to be another strip Pizza Shop is actually a great restaurant who would have guessed? Probably the best pizza crust I have ever tasted-thin crunchy/chewy. Other choices are Chateaubriand in a Porcini Cream sauce, prime Yellow Fin Tuna, Artichoke Ravioli with Shrimp and forbidden black rice. And BYOB no corkage! Had another wonderful meal last Saturday. Excellent!
Very Disappointing- The wait for our food was exceptionally long and they mixed up my 6 yr. daughter's dish. Spoke about it to the owner who was extremely rude & unprofessional- made my family feel very uncomfortable. He even suggested that I pay for both meals even though it was their mistake! He talked down to me in front of my family and the other few diners in the restaurant. I will never return to or recommend this place to anyone.
Usually the food is very good, but last night I had veal marsala and the veal was so tough I could barely cut it with a knife. After several attempts of trying to get the owners attention I gave up and had some of my kids pizza. But what really got me was when the owner asked to wrap up my veal and I informed her it was no good she said I should have let her known about it and they would only charge me half of the entree.
After moving to Fairfield County from New York, we were desperate to find a restaurant where we wanted to go more than once where the cost wasn't outrageous. Then we found Amerigo. The thin crust brick oven pizza is the best in Fairfield County and we love their freshly made pastas, sauces, and delicious side dishes. Bring your own wine -- there's no corkage fee. Don't be put off by the strip mall location. You won't be disappointed!
Decided to try, after reading a good review in the Conn section of the Sunday NY Times. The food exceeded our expectations. When I called late to check on their closing hours, they said to come, we will stay open. The BYO policy is a great money saver, and they DO NOT charge a corkage fee. A reviewer (alex something) made a misleading and false statement? We were very pleased with our dining experience
