Stopped in for lunch and the food was very tasty. Pizza was excellent. The bread they use for the sandwiches was incredible. Not much of an atmosphere and the service was average, but the food is reason enough for us to go back.
I found a great place for pizza! Real brick oven. I had lunch at Antico other day. I had a misto salad that was huge! Then I ordered a pizza. It had fresh mozz cheese, Italian sausage, onions, and pepperoni. It was cooked perfect. The waitstaff was also very nice and helpfull. I will be going back again soon to try the pasta.
Antico Forno is the best place for an authentic italian meal with great service!
Let me begin by noting that the fact that the owner bought me a glass of wine at the bar has no effect on my review. This was one of two places where I ate in Boston's North End, and it was the better one. Friday night: crowded, like everywhere else, but at least I got a seat at the bar. The food was fine, the service friendly. The wine list limited? Yes, but OK. Tourist trap? The North End could not exist without tourists. I enjoyed it.
Hotel recommended it when we asked for child friendly place with pizza. It was perfect. The pizza was great as well as the pasta. Our waiter was very friendly. If you don't like crowded and noisy don't go on a weekend. Go before 5 pm to get a table.
