'Mom retired, son a moron. What was is no longer. Cold, hard spanakopita followed by raw chicken and leathery gyro. Good salmon though did not make up for an otherwise horrible meal Only response from wait staff to complaints is "Cook is angry, nothing we can do!" Would never go back.
My family has been going to Athena for almost 20 years and it is simply the best Greek food on Long Island. The owner is gracious and kind, but the wait staff seems a bit inexperienced at times. The Greek Salad is the best around and the Salmon Rhodes is by far the most amazing dish on the menu. It's a bit small and can get noisy when full, but still a class act all the way.
A small place hidden in a strip mall. Tight seating but worth the food. You can tell it is all home cooked and effort is put into this menu. Beer & wine only.
