I'm puzzled by why the food rating by Zagat is so high. The food is tasty comfort food - a 15 to 18 - but not a 25 - not by any stretch of the imagination.

Why is this restaurant listed as the best traditional food?

Best fried chicken I've ever tasted. The sides were fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything was served family style. I drive 50 miles to eat at Babe's.
