Mario Batali's "convivial" Gramercy tapas bar–cum–"holding pen" for his 'round-the-corner Casa Mono puts out "top-of-the-line" Spanish small plates paired with an "extensive" wine list; it's a "tight squeeze" and the tabs are "not cheap", but most don't mind given the "sexy-time" mood.
