This place serves a great purpose during winter week nights! It is almost soothing to be there by the glistening sea in an old sailor's parlor, with the merriment going round the hall.
If you are graced with carefree company, their crab cakes and signature boiled seafood baskets (served in old fashioned dutch ovens) are perfect for an interactive dinner.
Its touristy and overpriced but the food is okay if you stay simple it can be very good. its not a place I would go often but its nice to sit outside in the summer and grab a bite.
The food is good and the decoration is nice, but I had the WORST service among all restaurants I had been in Boston. The hostess talked to me in a VERY stupid way, something absolutely unexpected in a place like this. If you care a little bit about the service, you should not go to this place.
The fish and chips were average, with immense portions of mediocre fries. The lobster roll was okay, but definitely not worth the price. The setting on the water is charming.
Strictly for those who can't make it to the Cape. If you enjoy dining on casually prepared shellfish from plastic mesh baskets on picnic tables, you'll found your milieu in Boston. Not cheap for the dumpy surroundings and chowder house level food.
