They have passed their prime. What was once a New Haven top choice has devolved into something undesirable. Don't bother going.
The appetizers were superb- but unfortunately it dropped dramatically from there. Per the waitress' rec, I ordered the spicy filet. Although it was cooked perfectly, it was nothing special. My wife had one of the noodle dishes- it was excellent. The problem he had was with the service- we had reservations for 8:15, we weren't seated until about 9:00. It took another 1/2 hour to get our drinks and every else took forever (even the water!)
Friendly atmosphere, good bar, but disappointing food. Grilled chicken was dry, rice was undercooked and the beef rendang was nothing like the real thing. It must be emphasized that this is fusion malay, not authentic malay cuisine. Could be alright for a business lunch.
Reliable inventive...doesn't feel crowded even when it is.
One of the best reataurants in Connecticut! The menu appears authentic, the food is outstanding, the draft beer list excellent, the wine list a perennial award winner, and the service friendly and professional. Probably. the top Malaysian restaurant in the country!
