With the exception of the arrival of frontera tortas, this is the only reliable dining spot in O'hare. Fresh cut-to-order lunch sandwiches and fresh breakfast make you believe you are not in an airport.

Mediocre German food - but a Chicago landmark. Go for the sandwiches, their house-label microbrew, & their root beer. The main courses (sauerbraten, schnitzel, etc.) are consistently disappointing. The kitchen excels at destroying vegetables.
