Have been going here on/ off for years. Recently (late spring/ summer 2012), several of the weekly specials have vanished from the menu. They stopped bringing water to your table unless requested, and the waitstaff, who used to be primarily ex-diner waitresses, has changed to completely untrained and unsupervised 'kids'. The chef, who has obviously changed, is grinding out food that is no where near the level of quality that it used to be.

gumbo was amazing, jambolaya was incredible. this place is awesome. like other reviews said hole int he wall type of place but food is amazing. check it out and you will not regret it!

Worst Service I have EVER received ! Our pink wigged Waitress, if I could even call her that was horrible, careless, and I think drunk or narcaleptic ? We asked for water glasses at least five times for our carafe of water and eventually had to go to bar and get them oursleves. Food took forever to arrive and then two of the four dishes were cold, not even luke warm, really cold. Food was tasty, but can't go there on a weekend I guess ? (3/5/11)

Like it hot and funky and real casual? Then this is the place to go. Can't eat the rich spicy food too often, but when in the mood for Cajun and barbecue we head to Big Daddy's. Never had a bad meal, but it does cater to a certain taste.

Went here for a friends 40th birthday. If the nicest thing you can say about a RESTAURANT is that they make good, string drinks...don't go hungry for good food. I hope my friend lives to 50, but finds a new favorite place...this one was *ss.
