Wow, what a delightful find! Having been south more than a few times, I have to say that from the beignets to the shrimp 'n grits, this place has it nailed. And with sinfully rich items like Apple Streusel Pancakes and locally cured, thick-cut bacon, you will be challenged to leave without a very full and satisfied belly. Very attentive service and a bright, fun atmosphere.
Delicious Southern cooking in a charming Andersonville setting. Don't miss the dark roux Gumbo, or the exquisite Shrimp and Grits.
My boyfriend won a beer list contest for a free dinner for 4 here and it was fabulous! At first we thought they were only going to comp our entres but they paid for our entire bill (apps, drinks, and desserts included)!! Overall, the food was delicious. I had the halibut with roasted corn which was cooked perfectly. The grits were a little disappointing but the corn bread was outstanding! I give this place an A!
One of my favorite destinations for breakfast/brunch in the city, not yet made it for dinner. Complimentary beignets for all are a delight and take me back to my fond memories of Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. The menu does a good job of capturing the wide array of southern cuisine. Shrimp & grits are the best I've tasted north of the Mason-Dixon line.
This is a great place to eat southern style food. The service and people who work there are very good.
