The most bang for your buck - Mucho Gusta!!! This a bar picnic bench setup. It casual dining at its finest. Everything on the menu is great, my favorites the warm chips, and fish tacos. check it out, you wont be disappointed :).

Absolutely delicious tacos and other very fairly priced south-of-the border influenced offerings. Some of the flavors are reminiscent of Frontera Grill - which is the highest compliment I could pay. Interesting if unpredictable specialty cocktails. Diverse selection of whiskeys. I LOVE this place and would love to clone it. Despite being open for a couple of years now, it remains WAY too crowded and service is uneven.

Big Star is a cool place in THE prime 6-corner location in Wicker Park. Of course, the patio is amazing, although they will think nothing of seating you in the sun on a very hot day! I was pleased one afternoon when I stopped in and they had a DJ spinning vinyl. The tacos are tasty and inexpensive which helps those of us on a budget. Beer list decent. The main problem is the service is erratic, sometimes downright rude! Clean that up!
