Mixed feelings on Bistro RX. I want it to do well, based on it's location, but have had up and down experiences. Last time we were there, sat there for an hour waiting for our food and they finally come out and say they haven't even started it. Manager, came over Drunk and said I will probably never see you again, so nothing I can do. Terrible service.
Went here recently to check it out, and I left there feeling satisfied, but not ecstatic about the place. The decor was fun - there was artwork on the wall by a local artist. They have duck fat fries on the menu - you can never go wrong with duck fat - with truffled salt and gorgonzola. While good, I have had better. Sandwich wasn't outstanding, would have to try entree to make better decision
A friendly neighborhood spot overlooking Patterson Park. During the summer it offers outside seating & a breezy atmosphere. In the winter, a cozy bistro to enjoy a home cooked meal & a glass (or half priced bottle!!) of wine. The menu is always changing which I love. Delicious options for everyone, from salads to flat breads to prime rib. Great Sunday brunch & a deep fried twinkie dessert!
"Bistro" as its called in the Patterson Park neighborhood is still slightly too ambitious for its location but its food, while bit pricey for the neighborhood, is at least consistently above average and innovative. The wine and beer list have greatly improved over the last year.
I think the place is great! The food is outstanding and has a great selections of wines and micro beers. The staff is friendly and are willing to take care of all of your dinning needs. I would tell other people to stop by and try out the experience!
