Put this on your short list. High expectations were met at this renovated epic delight. Appetizers are terrific, featuring tastiest lamb chops anywhere, period. Dinner portions are generous; every bit tastes like the first. Good marks for deserts, but not their strongest point. Blue Pig Ale is a treat. Waiters are attentive. During the winter, it is warm and cozy. In the summer, pray for nice weather and sit on the patio.
We make it a point to eat here every year when we vacation in Cape May. We even came here for Thanksgiving last year and plan to return again this year. The atmosphere (indoor or on the patio) is incredible and the food is excellent. A cocktail before dinner in the Brown Room sets the tone for one of our favorite dining experiences.
We go here several times during our summer vacation with the kids. Great place to take them and it's nice to sit outside. Wish they'd get a little more creative with the menu, however. It seems to be the same year after year.
Love the atmosphere of Congress Hall. Food is good but there are better restaurants. Martinis are good though.
The best mac-n-cheese!
