Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Outside seating is peaceful and pretty, riverfront with nice views of the rowing club below. Try the raw oysters and the lobster salad, and definitely the salmon croissant sandwich. It's pricey, so not a regular on the lunch venue list, but worth it for the occasional treat.
Hidden gem! Smallish dining room on the upper floor of the Saugatuck Rowing Club, with gorgeous river views, unbeatable seafood and attentive service. Beautifully appointed restaurant, perfect for lunch or dinner, business lunches too.
I have to balance all the positive views with some facts from our visit. This place does not deserve the great reviews it has been getting. I will net and fill in details as space permits. It is expensive, the portions are tiny, the staff is untrained and management ,if any, is unseen.
We went yesterday with reservations, well dressed and the hostess tried to seat us in a dark hallway even though the dining room was nearly empty. (people were on
I thought that the food was pretty good. The place is VERY EXPENSIVE for the portion sizes. The decor is very plain. Service was good. Did I mention that it is Very Expensive for the portion sizes.
A breath of fresh air in what seems to be a stuffy atmosphere behind CT food. Changing menu with imagination leaves you feeling more than satisfied, both on your palette and wallet. Service could not have been more hospitable. Definitely a regular destination.
