Service is slipping. We tend to go on weeknights when business is slow but service still takes forever (if you have two people folding napkins, one at the front door waiting to seat people, one behind the bar, and another server or two standing around, should it really be that hard to come by and take an order?). Realize that as well Vortex, they like their "attitude" but still...
This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in the city. Everything is delicious and the menu is often graced with new items. The decor is true to the theme set by the name, but the atmosphere is always lively, staff generally attentive and margarita selection is extensive.
Always packed, innovative Mexican in a kind of desolate part of Atlanta's industrial Westside. Decor is both interesting and rather macabre. Easy to order too much food here, so pace yourself.
Consistently some of the best Mexican food in Atlanta, and the bartenders/waitstaff will keep you entertained.
My only wish for this place was that they were open later than 10 pm.
