The definition of fine dining.
Lunch tasting menu was spectacular, the food divine. I took a risk and brought my my daughter of 8 years as my guest. The Chef made some menu adjustments to make it approachable to her adventurous palate. The staff was so attentive and made us feel comfortable. She loved everything! NYC's youngest Gourmand. Thanks for making memories that will last her a lifetime. Bouley exceeded all of my expectations.
As much as we loved dinner the two times we were here, I went back, this time for the 5 course tasting lunch menu. Only, with the "freebies", it was 9 courses- all a hit! And one has choices for each of the courses. At $55, seriously, this might be the best restaurant bargain at a top tier place in NY. And once again, the service was PERFECT.
Kudos all around.
Restaurant is very attractive -- modern but not minimalist. Service was polite without being stuffy, although not particularly efficient. Foodwise, the two amuse bouches, the palate cleanser and the petits fours were better than the starters/mains/desserts. The restaurant does not enforce its "men must wear jackets" policy -- dress neatly and you'll be admitted.
