Recommended by Concierge. Appetizer scallops were amazing. Veal Valdostano was very good. Potatoes with Veal were rubbery and inedible. Osso Bucco was bland and boiled too hard. Risotto was rice cooked in water, reheated with chicken broth - no creaminess at all. Molten cake was excellent. Orange sherbet was incredible. Canolli were delightful - Mascarpone + whipped cream, maybe almond but too much cinnamon. Price for 2 with $95 of wine, $270
Average food with extremely poor service...waited 50 minutes for our entree after our appetizer. Surely there must be much nicer Italian in Boston! Felt like we were sitting elbow-elbow with table next to us. If you want high-end Italian, look elsewhere. Bricco was recommended by our hotel concierge (The Liberty) and we advised him of our dissatisfaction and he said that it was not the first complaint of poor service.
Excellent, above and beyond service, host/hostesses very accomodating, genuine great employees. I recently was there and my girlfriend lost her purse, Danny (the manager on at the time) personally helped us find it. Not saying go to Bricco because they'll help you find stuff, but they care about the people and go out of their way to see you leave with a smile. Boston needs more like them.
Food was good but the service was very slow. Even though it was busy pasta should not take an hour to get. I would recommend, but make sure the waiter is on top of things.
We sat in the back upstairs in a cramped area near the door. Our waiter was polite, but not attentive. The food was good, but my Sea Bass was cold. It seemed like a factory, not a nice Italian restaurant. Would not go back.
