Pizza not quite as good as Pepe's, but the atmosphere makes up for it.
Yick! Yes, the dough is fresh and baked in a wood fired oven, but the pizza is lousy! They don't know how to handle the dough & the toppings are cheap & low quality. Processed cheese, etc. The mashed potato pizza was bland, soggy & a mess! A big disappointment. Nothing like a fresh wood fired pizza at Keste, Toby's, Roberta's or a million other places in NYC.
very good pizza, enjoy the bar, the ambience, the service, simple but good comfort fresh food, try it for sure in your next visit.
Excellent cracker-thin-crusted pizza, with a wide variety of toppings. The pizza can rival those of New Haven's Wooster Street classics, scuh as Pepe's and Sally's. The salads are also great, which gives them an edge, plus you can get some very good micro-brewed beer that is brewed by the restaurant -- the blond and stout are particularly good. Can be very loud at nights. Service is not very good, but the mashe potato pizza is.
My favorite pizza (narrowly edging out others in Hew Haven and NYC).
