Can't judge a book by its cover or Cafe Intermezzo's cakes by their looks Cakes are visually fantastic but leave much to be desired Many had little taste & twice we've been served cakes that were well were beyond their prime People in Atlanta shouldn't be allowed to bake cheesecakes & if you are going to offer carrot cake it should have some carrots, maybe cinnamon & cream cheese topping. Coffees were brewed perfectly Service was excellent
love the ambience!
I've been going there steadily for about three years, but last night's service was AWFUL. The drinks and food took WAY to long to come out (30 minutes for the drinks, an hour for the food), our server could barely hear us and had a language barrier, after dinner I waited TWENTY (20) minutes for a cake slice that was ALREADY MADE, and on top of that I log in this morning and see that they've charged the ENTIRE PARTY's bill to my credit card!
My girl and I arrived about midnight on a saturday....real good late night vibe....had lasagna and grill salmon...tasty for late night fare.....desert was a type of fudge cake was very good...we hang out late so will definately go back.
With its large footprint toward the back of a suburban shopping center, this is the perfect spot for a lunchtime tryst. Sandwiches and crepes tend toward the mediocre -- this is definitely the place to have dessert first, with their showcase of dozens of cakes, tarts and other delights.
